Back from the dead with a book deal?!!?!?!?! It’s more likely than you’d think! I’m excited to announce my debut graphic novel STICK TOGETHER is being published by Feiwel & Friends! Its been such an cool journey leading up to my first formally published comic and I just want to reflect on that for a bit.
I’ve been making comics for seven years now. That is almost a third of my life spent making comics, and since I never plan on stopping that percentage will only grow. The comics community is such a cool space full of some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. It sure does feel right to be a part of things for this long and to this extent, and it’s so amazing to be able to make comics for work.
Breaking into mainstream publishing has felt like a natural step for me for a few years now, and it’s been really cool to watch friends be published and make their debuts in comics. SIDE NOTE: Preorder my super cool friend and roommate Clar Angkasa’s book Stories of the Islands here!!! (it’s Indonesian folklore!)
STICK TOGETHER is a story that had been in the far back corner of my mind for years, and while certainly not autobiographical is pretty personal. I’d been mostly thinking up stories with animal and creature protagonists before this and was a little apprehensive to pitch something like this for a while because it hits close to home. That’s all I have to say for now on the story though (for now).
The book is currently set to be published by Feiwel & Friends in Spring of 2026. Once there is an opportunity to preorder you all will be the first to know (trust me, I won’t be able to shut up about it) and I might even share some sketches or process art snippets from the book once I’m able to! Thank you so much for your support and I hope you like my story once it’s ready… AND I’ll have another newsletter for you soon.
